Stores are small (mostly around 20K sq ft) and focus on meat and produce. In contrast, Meijer stores are similar in size and offerings to typical Walmart Supercenters.

Meijer is believed to own Fresh Thyme. The chain has been largely stagnant over the past several years, after predicting it could open dozens of stores each year… probably a bust. Gotta wonder how long before it merges with Sprouts.
Perhaps Meijer would buy Sprouts and convert them to Fresh Thyme?

Sprouts is currently around a 52 week high for its stock and the value of the company is quite high right now.

I'd rather see Meijer continue its ongoing focus to expand its own format than overpay for Sprouts.
