The Times of London reports that Starbucks is considering selling off their UK operations, which consist of about 1,000 stores (300 corporate, 700 franchise) and about 4,000 employees, with high inflation being cited as the primary reason for exploring a potential sale.

I don't see them completely pulling out. Most likely this turn into a licensing deal.

Walgreens couldn't unload Boots. We will see if Starbucks figures out how to unload this operation.

Who is their competitor in UK?

I find it odd they are even considering an exit.
