Subway Offers Free Sandwiches For Life If You Get A Tattoo

Post by Alpha8472 »

Subway is offering free footlong sandwiches if you get a tattoo.

To get free subs for their entire life, a Subway fan will have to receive a 12" x 12" tattoo of the logo on their sternum or back. A 2" x 2" tattoo on their wrist, bicep, or foot will win free subs for a month, and a 3" x 3" tattoo on their shoulder blade, forearm, or calf will win free subs for a year.

The tattoo event is at Bad Apple Tattoo in Las Vegas on July 27. There are limited tattoos and it is first come first serve.

They are giving the tattoo receivers gift cards equivalent to a year of sandwiches, lifetime, etc.

Only 9 tattoos will be given out.

Hopefully the locations will all accept the gift cards. I think Subway forces the locations to use its cash registers/payment processing so that should not be an issue.

Dickey's BBQ gift card users have been running into locations that refuse to accept them. Those gift cards are sold at a discount at Costco/Sam's. Dickey's too forced the locations to use a specific register system/card processing but that system was not updated properly to accept Chip cards even as recently as last year. Locations started getting chargebacks due to the fraud responsibility falling automatically to the location for fraud on a swipe card. So some locations quit processing cards via the Dickey's register, got a stand alone terminal that could process chip cards, and processed cards that way. The problem with that is employees try to put a gift card through the stand alone terminal and it doesn't work. Dickey's since supposedly updated its regular system to accept chip cards.

Or they could just use the separate machine for credit cards and the register for their own gift cards (which aren't going to cause issues with chargebacks, since they are cards issued by the company and would only process if money was available to use). But that would just make too much sense, I guess.
