They are a cross between a strawberry and a Chilean berry. They look like white strawberries with red seeds. It tastes like a pineapple flavored strawberry. It is the most unique looking fruit ever.

Would you buy this just for the novelty?

I've seen these recently at Food Bazaar and Seabra's Market here in NJ. Almost bought them, too, if only for the novelty (and the $0.99 price at Food Bazaar for I think it's 10 oz...). I don't like berries but my parents might enjoy them. How much were they at your stores?

They were over $5 for a small box a few months ago.

I have seen them at Aldi, too. I think they were priced between $3 and $4 for a small container (smaller than the 1-lb. strawberry containers.)
