What would work well here is an arrangement that Kmart used at Jantzen Beach when it was an enclosed mall. The hallway lined up to side mall entrances which were basically at the front of the main Kmart building, and the store maintained a typical center Kmart entry which went in to the mall. I don't remember if there was a gate that blocked access to the rest of the mall after hours. But WinCo could do a similar arrangement here. It seems like it would open up a lot of liability issues with an inside mall entry that was 24 hours and you had to walk through the mall to access the store.

Costco had this setup where its entrance (as well as it's food court) were located inside of the Christown Spectrum Mall in Phoenix. There was no entry/exit to or from the store outside of the mall (the Tire Center was a separate building).

Of course Costco hours lined up with mall hours (or were shorter) so there wasn't an issue with it having an inside mall entry.
