Gap Displays Clothing In Trash Bags

Post by Alpha8472 »

Gap is displaying Kanye West's Yeezy Clothing brand in trash bags. Kanye West apparently does not wants the clothes to be put on hangers so customers must dig through trash bags to find the clothing. Gap employees are also not allowed to help customers find items.

The lack of hangers and tags is supposed to reduce plastic waste according to Kanye's vision.

What an interesting "grab bag" type deal, at least it saves time. Though I heard Kanye has parted ways with Adidas, as well as Gap recently to take his Yeezy brand independent?

Trash bags would be appropriate for the "quality" of clothing they sell at Old Navy.

I don't necessarily mind the idea of digging for stuff vs. having it on hangers. I've sort of gotten used to that with all these Wal Mart .25-$1 clothing sales in recent months anyway. But for any nicer/formal clothing if this causes the stuff to get too wrinkled up customers won't buy it as they'll get the wrong impression about how it looks.

For stores that organize products and have the hangers reflecting the size of the clothing it is convenient but I find more and more the size on the hanger is not accurate to what is on the hanger at various clothing stores.

Total nonsense!

But if Kanye has anything to do with it, I'm not surprised.
