The new pizza has no sauce, cheese, or toppings. It is a flat sourdough pizza crust for $4.99.

Selling pizza crusts is not going to save them from the CA Fast Food Committee but I guess it is a novel idea. I am surprised they even have 100 locations left. Or maybe this has nothing to do with that.
Also the price of $4.99 is about 2.5 times what the price should be.
I kind of liked the sourdough crust on the pizza though, it gave it a good tangy to go with sauce and pepperoni. I wonder if it tastes the same as it did 20 years ago when this was a chain that was actually in business in many places.
