Arby's Brings Back Boneless Buffalo Wings

Post by Alpha8472 »

Wouldn't boneless wings be the same as chicken nuggets?

Arby's is trying to take away business from the chicken wing restaurants. This is a small amount of business.

Yes, I have ordered chicken nuggets and received boneless wings instead at Arbys (the wings have more pepper in the breading).

Is the burger already gone again?

Most Arby's sold out of it when it returned in November. Many people said it was pretty good. It was available up until about 2 weeks ago.

I just checked their website and there are 24 hour Arby's even in California still. I am shocked.

I think those 24 hour Arbys are truck stop units.

There are a couple of those along I-80 in Nevada too, one in Fernley and one in Wendover.

There seem to be a fair number of Arby's locations in Pilot/Flying J truck stops, although not all of them appear to be 24 hours. One I know of in Ellensburg WA is 7am to Midnight though.

Of these the West Wendover is a Pilot Arbys and the Fernley is a Loves Arbys.

I just looked up Fernley and I see it is now 6 AM to 10 PM, and Wendover is now 7 AM to 1 AM (other stuff is walkable there though that is probably open, casinos). Interesting now Fernley Loves has no overnight food.

The Wendover once used to have some sister concept of Arbys called TJ Cinnamons, not sure if that still exists.

Fernley never had that, but they recently cut off part of Arbys space and added in a Godfather's Pizza Express.

Not sure on their particular item, but most places you see boneless wings, they are a bit chunkier than a chicken nugget (that is, a rougher exterior texture rather than the smooth, flat style of a nugget).
Seems that might be due to them often coming with a sauce on them (rather than separate for dipping), and the rougher texture would keep said sauce on them better for the longer time until they are consumed.
