Arby's has been sold to Roark Capital Group. Roark is now in control of Arby's. This means that Wendy's can now focus on the Wendy's brand.
Arby's was always poorly performing. Wendy's is a much stronger brand and their restaurants were the most profitable part of the company. I think that dumping Arby's will make Wendy's a much stronger company.
Roark Capital Group also owns several other franchise brands such as Cinnabon, Auntie Anne's, and Carvel ice cream.
