Eater LA author reflects: Glendale Galleria vs. Americana at Brand

Thought about putting this in the shopping centers section, but it's also very much about Din Tai Fung and dining in malls.

We have one locaation of this wonderful chain nearby (yes, waits are TERRIBLE) and I am excited for the next one to open.

I've only eaten at Din Tai Fung once (rather expensive but tasty) but they're certainly doing something right because there was an hour wait for a table when I went, and the one in Bellevue is doing well enough that it has been reported they will be moving to a space more than twice the size of their current location in the same building.

Every time they enlarge a restaurant the crowds grow even further, so wait times stay the same. Their next new location will be outside of Disneyland and it will probably be the busiest yet.
