At some point in the current calendar year, the Saks Fifth Avenue store at The Fashion Mall at Keystone in Indianapolis will shutter and a new development will take its place. The project is supposed to include an outdoor plaza, office space, additional entertainment and dining, and an expansion of the mall's luxury collection.
For those who don't know, The Fashion Mall at Keystone is a somewhat labyrinthine property with a mix of single-level and multi-level wings connected by inline space that sits above a major city street. Saks - a one time Jacobson's - anchors a luxury-focused section, while Nordstrom (a former Parisian) anchors the moderately-priced side of the property. Given the fairly recent addition of Gucci and remodel of Louis Vuitton directly outside of the Saks store, it's a given new luxury will be coming to the property and that the existing retail wing likely won't be affected.
