Wayfair making moves into retail

It looks like online furniture/home store Wayfair is making some forays into retail with physical Wayfair outlet stores, one of which will be opening later this month here in Greensboro in a space formerly occupied by Christmas Tree Shops between a Target and a Kohls in the biggest retail district in town at the corners of Wendover Avenue and Bridford Parkway.
There are currently three other Wayfair Outlets in operation in San Marcos TX, Florence KY and Deer Park NY, all of which appear to be located in relatively close proximity to distribution centers.
It also appears that they have plans to open a much larger (150k SF, about half the size of an average Ikea) Wayfair store in the Chicago area next Spring:
