Surprised this is the only one closing...
Still takes over 24 hours for a receipt at this format. Tried 2 different days. I had 3 items the first time and 2 items the second time.

JWO was outed as being entirely human-controlled, but I wonder what the shrink rate was for these stores.Alpha8472 wrote: ↑January 27th, 2025, 1:37 pm The Amazon Go store in Woodland Hills, California is closing. Very low customer traffic in these stores. Likely a lot of spoilage. I suspect little to no theft.pseudo3d wrote: ↑January 27th, 2025, 6:52 pmJWO was outed as being entirely human-controlled, but I wonder what the shrink rate was for these stores.Alpha8472 wrote: ↑January 27th, 2025, 1:37 pm The Amazon Go store in Woodland Hills, California is closing. I don't think it was entirely human-controlled. From what I read, there was a team in India that would watch the cameras and fix mistakes, but it would be impossible for humans to manually watch every shopper and keep track of their purchases.pseudo3d wrote: ↑January 27th, 2025, 6:52 pmJWO was outed as being entirely human-controlled, but I wonder what the shrink rate was for these stores.Alpha8472 wrote: ↑January 27th, 2025, 1:37 pm The Amazon Go store in Woodland Hills, California is closing. The competitor technology Grabango seemed like it was totally computer controlled. It made many mistakes, and I never got a refund for many errors even after I requested a mistake to be corrected.HCal wrote: ↑February 7th, 2025, 1:34 amI don't think it was entirely human-controlled. The Just Walk Out technology was extremely unreliable, but part of the time it would get it right. Humans needed to double check many of the transactions as the software would be unable to tell what was taken. Then the software would prompt for a human to review the cameras.
