Well, that didn't last long. Roseville opened in 2012, but Elk Grove opened in September 2013 and is already closing!
Ouch.
The stores were notified of closure on Thursday and the stores will close Tuesday.
Ouch again.
The Fresh Market will still operate one store in Palo Alto and one in Santa Barbara. I wonder why they are bothering.
I liked the stores, though. I am a bit sad to see them go.

Doesn't seem too strange for them - as an example, they have 3 stores here in NY. 1 on Long Island, 1 in Westchester County (just north of NY City) and the third in Latham, just outside of Albany. While the two are relatively close, Latham is about 150 miles from them.storewanderer wrote:The Fresh Market will still operate one store in Palo Alto and one in Santa Barbara. Several other states only have 1-4 stores as well.

The Sacramento store is located in a former Borders bookstore; it also has only been open since late 2013. What a waste of money!
