Changing of the Guard at Walmart
At their annual Shareholder Meeting today, Walmart announced that Rob Walton would step down as Chairman of the Board, effective at COB today, and that his son-in-law, Greg Penner, who they named as Vice Chairman just a year ago, would step into his spot. This marks only the second time someone named Walton will not be in that post (and the last one was only for 18 months in the 70's, and he wasn't related). Can't wait to see how this plays out. And good choice marrying into the family too.
