sears will probably spin off kmart in 2015 to private equity and close the unprofitable stores for real estate

we'll see after christmas is sears will survive, go private, or liquidate after christmas. i think the sears hometown stores may be the first to go

if save mart takes over the overlapping stores on the central coast, they will likely convert them into food maxx stores. i dunno if stater brothers is ready to expand to the central coast and bakersfield area and ralphs (kroger) flopped in those areas, so that may be a very difficult area for cerbe...

makes me wonder if piccinini is giving up on save mart in general and just focusing on foodmaxx or if cerberus and save mart might combine their operations to have safeway be the high end and foodmaxx being the warehouse concept for the new company

walmart has to be pouncing on the opportunity to expand its neighborhood market concept in some of these shuttered and divested stores in areas where stater bros will not enter

walmart has to be licking its chops on the divested stores in las vegas!!

could this be a sign that kroger may get out of the warehouse style market concept and cerberus may sell off the vons stores soon, it'll be interesting if stater bros enters the las vegas market or not soon

i think they will dump kmart off to a private equity firm before shutting down sears

first of possibly many closures of underperforming vons, safeway, and albertsons stores in the next year for the northwest and socal!!

i can see burger king selling tim horton's coffee and try to go up against mcdonald's mccafes at their stores and do a massive u.s. expansion for tim horton's with a combined company
