Re: Winn-Dixie possible takeover target

I would hate to see Supervalu take over Winn-Dixie. Supervalu doesn't really have a clue how to run Albertsons. I would hate to see what they would do to Winn-Dixie.

Kroger on the other hand is a very well-respected company. They know how to run supermarkets quite well. Even Wall Street investors comment how successful Kroger is. Kroger knows how to offer good prices in most of their markets. Kroger also offers a very good selection of food. When you see a Kroger deli and salad bar you know you are in a Kroger. It is high quality and offers incredible food.

However, other companies such as Safeway have problems. They offer some quality products, but their prices are way too high. Kroger beats Safeway with their lower prices and with much better food selection and quality. Customers love Kroger for the grand shopping experience. Shopping at Safeway is hit and miss. Sometimes you find good sales, but the stores always run out of food on the shelves. Their employees' focus is on secret shoppers and often the stores are dirty and not stocked.
