Re: Recent Fred Meyer remodels

Has anyone ever managed to snap any photographs of the Totem Lake Freddy's in its original 1980 guise?

Keeping Track of 7-Eleven's New Portland Stores

Has anyone here ever kept track of all the new 7-Eleven stores in the Portland area?

So far, we now seem to have:
34558 - 900 SW 4th Ave.
34678 - 5122 SE Woodstock Blvd.
35266 - 6144 SE Foster Rd.

Re: Albertsons Closing 122nd/Division Portland Store

I also want to tell you that this Albertsons was once a Fred Meyer store. Fred Meyer operated in this location from 1958 to 1985.

Re: Emptying malls in Portland, OR/NEW INFO about Jantzen Be

I wonder if Toys "R" Us, Safeway, McDonald's and Burger King in this area will be spared this axe?

Surely I've heard people talk about Safeway leaving Jantzen Beach behind. But the Toys "R" Us/Babies "R" Us combo here has been significantly updated.

Re: Round Table Pizza Bankrupt

I know the Oak Grove RTP location still exists. I wonder if it will shutter soon?

Re: Long John's Silvers and A&W Sold

There is one of these combos here in Portland, at the corner of SE Powell Blvd. & 82nd Ave.

Another exists in Oregon City (Hilltop).

Re: 7-Eleven Stores Closed in Portland

To answer an earlier question, both Vancouver/Mill Plain locations are still open. And now something I observed a week ago, a NEW 7-Eleven in Vancouver, at Fourth Plain & Main Streets, kitty-corner from the original Hi-School Pharmacy location. I honestly don't remember what was here before, bu...

Re: 7-Eleven Stores Closed in Portland

Someone on Google Maps had reported 7-Eleven #18156 (4516 SE Hawthorne Blvd.) as being closed. Unless it no longer shows up on the list of results on 7-Eleven's official website, I cannot believe whoever did that. However, store #25200 (1930 SE Hawthorne Blvd.) no longer shows up as being "perm...

Re: Portland/Burlingame Fred Meyer

That Burger King is also unique as it was actually constructed on part of the parking garage structure. I didn't realize it had closed, it looked like it was still open when I was there. The BK is store #4549, which I believe dates to about 1985. My local BK in Oak Grove is #1595, and is known to b...

Re: Portland/Burlingame Fred Meyer

Burlingame, Fred Meyer's oldest existing property (opening in 1950), was indeed scheduled for demolition and rebuilding. Stories were out about it a couple of years ago. Haven't seen anything about it since. The plan was to construct a new store nearly double the size with parking underneath. If me...
