I am currently visiting my brother and sister down in Utah, and on Saturday my brother took me over to the Macey's store near his apartment (Macey's is a small 9-store chain local to the Salt Lake Valley,) and made me try out their Kong Kone, just about the most ridiculously huge soft serve ice cream cone I've ever seen. For just $1.29, you get what has to be at least a pound of ice cream piled up at least a foot tall on top of a tiny little cone. I couldn't even finish more than about half the thing it was so huge. I'm eventually going to put together a Blog post about the thing, but I want to have my brother make my other brother try to eat one when he comes down in a couple of weeks before I do.
I'd be interested to hear about other oddities like this that people might have in their local markets.
