They would probably make more money turning it into a Sears museum. Charge admission to see what retail was like in the old days. Come check out the paper version of the internet that some called a catalog. Your grandpa probably wore these Roebuck's jeans. You might be living in a Sears house. Your parents might have done business with the Sears Financial Network. The list could go on and on!

By the pictures, I am not impressed either. A store that looked at all serious about a comeback would be fully stocked, and should have a current logo on the signs.J-Man wrote: ↑October 24th, 2023, 8:57 am Sounds like people weren't impressed. https://ktla.com/news/local-news/sears- ... -thoughts/
It sounds as impressive as the Sears at Southcenter, which has also closed its third floor off.

It is easier to do what they are doing than go to the trouble of making a Sears Museum..babs wrote: ↑October 24th, 2023, 12:20 pm They would probably make more money turning it into a Sears museum. They just reopened what they had before... nothing more nothing less.Super S wrote: ↑October 24th, 2023, 3:30 pmBy the pictures, I am not impressed either. We see this sort of thing with restaurants all the time. Odd for a department store but may as well be open. Maybe they can be of some use, employ some people, etc.

It already is a Sears museum, they just won't admit it. Sears isn't modern retailing. Offer up free coffee.and this might be where the retired mall walking crowd might end up. The teenage mall rats aren't stopping here unless they 3ed to go to bathroom.storewanderer wrote: ↑October 24th, 2023, 10:58 pmIt is easier to do what they are doing than go to the trouble of making a Sears Museum..babs wrote: ↑October 24th, 2023, 12:20 pm They would probably make more money turning it into a Sears museum. Looking at those photos of Burbank while the store is very lacking it definitely looks better merchandised and to have more merchandise (not saying it is the right merchandise at the right prices) than the past few Sears I've been into. It may be about at the level of Sears 4-5 years ago...J-Man wrote: ↑December 10th, 2023, 10:22 am CNN Business article (with photos) about Sears' "comeback"
I'm confused why they also don't try to get more inventory into the other still open stores at the same time.
