Belk's Dept Store rebranding

Post by BK31 »

Just saw this over lunch today - Belk released a new wordmark / identity and will be rolling it out in 60 stores by year end and the rest of their 305 stores by 11/2011. Its the first major update to the wordmark in 43 years and going to cost upwards of $25M just to change out the existing signage

Article with the new logo:

I'd sure love to get my hands on one of those giant channel letter B's...

The new logo reminds me of The Partridge Family for some reason...

Haven't yet received a card with the new logo, but the bills have the new logo. Due to being smaller, the l and k are very close together appearing to read bek.
